DUBLIN, Ohio-Mackenzie Sokol, a former behavioral therapist at Reach Education Service in Dublin, has been sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to endangering children. Sokol, 34, admitted to sending explicit messages and photos to a 12-year-old boy via Facebook Messenger. The case was uncovered after Dublin police alerted Columbus police’s Exploited Children Unit. Although initially charged with importuning, a charge that would have required sex offender registration, Sokol was convicted of endangering children, which does not have this requirement. She must attend mental health counseling, pay court costs and a $500 fine, and report on her counseling progress in February.
