EAST PALESTINE, Ohio-A tentative agreement has been reached between the East Palestine City School District Board of Education and the East Palestine Education Association (EPEA), preventing a strike that was set to begin on October 21. Superintendent James Rock confirmed that the EPEA has withdrawn its notice of intent to strike, and the union will vote on the agreement at a future date. Details of the agreement will not be released until it is ratified by both parties.
