COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Sheriff and a hero played golf at Muirfield Village Golf Club alongside stars like Peyton Manning and Chris Pratt in the Celebrity Pro-Am event. Meanwhile, eight current and former patients from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, known as “Golden Cubs,” enjoyed a VIP Experience at Jack’s Place.
They met sports figures like the Golden Bear and Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day, and even tested their skills on the driving range with Buckeye football players. Among them was 15-year-old Hayden Laycock, who, despite being born with a congenital heart block and undergoing multiple surgeries, now enjoys sports and typical teenage activities, thanks to Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s care and the Nicklaus family’s support.
