Four-Year-Old Injured, Grazed by Bullet after Sibling finds Gun in Clark County Home

SOUTH CHARLESTON, Ohio-The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in which a four-year-old was grazed by a bullet after their six-year-old sibling found a 9mm pistol in the home. The shooting occurred at 6:46 a.m. on Nov. 13 at a residence on Sunset Court. The two children, with their mother, were at a neighbor’s apartment when authorities arrived. The four-year-old received treatment for a bullet graze on their arm and was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. The six-year-old accessed the gun from a supposedly secure area, and while playing with it, the pistol discharged. No charges have been filed at this time.
