Greenup County Teacher Warms the Hearts and Heads of Students

GRENUP, Ohio-Brittany Hale, a teacher at Greysbranch Elementary School in Greenup County, orchestrated a heartwarming project for her 1st-grade students. Inspired by a social media post, she brought her students’ drawings of toboggans to life by crocheting matching hats. The reveal, captured in a video, showcased the students’ excitement as they modeled their personalized toboggans.

Hale aimed to foster connections between students, parents, and the community while creating lasting memories. To realize this project, she enlisted the help of her step-grandmother, Denise Quillen Snoddy, who dedicated significant time and effort to craft each hat meticulously. Although not part of her formal teacher training, Hale’s dedication to her students reflects the influence of her own teachers. The project serves as a heartwarming reminder of the positive impact educators can have on their students’ lives and the community at large.
