Here’s What You Need to Know if your CPS Student is taking a Metro Bus to School

CINCINNATI, Ohio-Starting next week, over 9,000 Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) students will use Metro buses for transportation, a significant increase from previous years. This change, affecting nearly 3,000 seventh and eighth graders, comes after CPS cut $9 million from its budget, eliminating yellow bus services for these grades. Parents have expressed concerns about the transition to Metro buses. To help with the new transportation system, Metro recommends using the Google Maps trip planner or Transit App to plan routes, check schedules, and avoid unnecessary transfers. CPS will monitor student travel and notify schools and parents if more direct routes are available.
