VERSAILLES, Ohio-Cassie Leach, a senior at Versailles High School, has been awarded a $1,000 Red Cord Honor Graduate Award from Solvita Blood Center for her consistent blood donations during her high school years. The award recognizes high school seniors who have donated blood three or more times, with Cassie being the top donor among seven recipients in the region.
Cassie’s dedication to blood donation stemmed from her family’s influence, and she found the experience rewarding, having made five donations in total. Winning the award has motivated her to encourage others to donate and will assist in covering her college expenses. Versailles High School hosted two successful blood drives during the year, contributing to the community’s blood supply.
