LANCASTER, Ohio-For nearly three decades, Sharon Eckman has been a beloved bus driver for students in the Hempfield School District, often the first and last face they see each school day. Recently, senior Natalie Bole recognized Eckman’s impact by inviting her to a special lacrosse game honoring teachers.
Eckman was overwhelmed by the gesture and credits her role to God’s influence. She hopes her students know she cares deeply for them. The ceremony honoring teachers was moved to halftime to accommodate Eckman’s bus schedule, highlighting her dedication to her role and the students she serves.
