CINCINNATI, Ohio-Shauna Murphy, Chief of Student, Family, and Community Engagement at Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS), has been appointed as the interim superintendent following Iranetta Wright’s resignation.
With over a decade of experience at CPS, including roles as a principal and in various district positions, Murphy brings a wealth of expertise to the role. The decision was made after interviews with Murphy and Dr. Alesia Smith, Chief of Schools, who will serve as interim deputy superintendent. Both expressed readiness and excitement to tackle the challenges ahead and work together for the benefit of the students.
