HARRISON, Ohio- Southwest Local Schools has partnered with the nonprofit City of Refuge to raise $300,000 to provide essential resources for students and their families. Rosanne Moore, care director at City of Refuge, highlighted the growing needs within the community, particularly after a troubling year that included suicides among students. The initiative is supported by volunteer Kaitlyn Thrasher, a single mother who received help from Church on Fire, which has now launched a local chapter of City of Refuge. The fundraising campaign, named ‘Warriors of Compassion,’ aims to collect money through raffles, donations, and table purchases.
