WESTLAKE, Ohio-Two parents are charged with child endangerment after a newborn was discovered with its umbilical cord still attached, near a Westlake hotel. The baby’s mother was found unconscious nearby. The discovery was made by a woman walking her dog around 6 p.m. on June 25 near Westspring Inn, at 25200 Sperry Dr. The newborn was found crying and lying face down in the grass, according to Westlake Police Cpt. Gerald Vogel.
