NORWOOD, Ohio-Ty Gibert was appointed as the new head boys basketball coach and program manager at Norwood High School, announced on Wednesday night. Norwood City Schools’ athletic director, Chuck Richardson, expressed optimism about Gibert’s leadership, highlighting his extensive coaching experience and track record of guiding players to collegiate success. Gibert, recognized previously as a District 16 Coach of the Year, brings a wealth of coaching experience from various schools and at the AAU level. His appointment is part of Norwood City Schools’ broader announcement naming several head coaches for the upcoming school year, including those for boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, and volleyball.
