OHSAA Members Approve Proposal That Would Allow Schools to Opt up to Division I

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has approved a proposal allowing member schools to apply to move up to Division I on a sport-by-sport basis for the next school year. This decision follows the passing of Issue 1B by member schools, altering bylaw 2-1-1.

Schools have until June 3 to apply for inclusion in Division I for fall and winter sports, with a deadline for spring sports to be announced later. Once the OHSAA receives requests, it will adjust divisional breakdowns and tournament representation accordingly.
