COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio State University has reported record enrollment for the 2024-25 academic year, with 9,530 incoming first-year students—the largest class in its history—and a graduate student enrollment of 11,408. Total enrollment across all campuses reached 66,901, reflecting a 2.3% increase from 2023. President Walter “Ted” Carter Jr. attributed this growth to the value of an Ohio State education, noting that 71.1% of the incoming class are Ohio residents and 96% graduated in the top 25% of their high school classes. Vice Provost James Orr highlighted the university’s commitment to recruiting and supporting students, contributing to its impressive enrollment figures.
