Police Canvas Linden, Trying New Ways to Find Clues in 13-Year-Old Murder Investigation

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Columbus Police collaborated with Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children and We Are Linden in their investigation of the homicide of 13-year-old Angel Diaz. Diaz was found with a gunshot wound on April 14th on East Hudson Street. Community members emphasized the importance of finding answers for Diaz’s family.

CPD sought assistance from the community to gather more evidence, particularly from the night of the incident. No suspect is currently in custody, but detectives are seeking the driver of a 2008-2012 Ford Escape who may have witnessed events related to Diaz’s death. CPD officers, accompanied by community members, distributed flyers door-to-door in Linden, asking witnesses to provide any video or information from April 14th between 8-9 p.m. in the vicinity of the incident.
