CINCINNATI, Ohio-Cincinnati police reported a drive-by shooting near South Avondale Elementary School, with one juvenile victim. The shooting occurred at 614 Prospect Place, close to the elementary school. Police responded to reports of gunfire, with Shot Spotter systems detecting multiple rounds fired.
A juvenile boy sustained a gunshot wound to the ankle and was transported to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He was accompanied by two others during the incident. The age of the victim was not disclosed, and there is no information regarding a suspect. No witnesses have come forward yet. Detectives are currently speaking with the victim at the hospital and will utilize school cameras for the investigation.
