CINCINNATI, Ohio-The Cincinnati Board of Education has proposed a Phase 2 redistricting plan for Cincinnati Public Schools, set to take effect in 2025, affecting thousands of students across nearly 30 schools. The plan aims to transition students to six new middle schools. At a recent school board meeting, parents and educators voiced concerns about the impact on Woodford Academy, which would lose its magnet status and become a Montessori middle school. This change would also move 7th and 8th graders from Clark Montessori High School to Woodford and send former Woodford students to Silverton Elementary. Board president Eve Bolton defended the plan, stating it is necessary to meet public demand for educational services.
