Randy Banks Recommended as Next South-Western City School District superintendent

WORTHINGTON, Ohio-Randy Banks, the assistant superintendent of Worthington City Schools, has been recommended as the next superintendent for South-Western City Schools. Pending full board approval at a meeting on Saturday, Banks will officially assume the role on August 1st, returning to South-Western after 13 years with Worthington Schools.

Chris Boso, the board president, praised Banks’ qualifications, innovative outlook, and dedication to student success, highlighting his extensive experience in education and leadership. Banks’ selection follows a 13-week search process that narrowed down to him and another finalist, Jamie Lusher, South-Western’s deputy superintendent. Both candidates engaged in community meetings earlier in the week to discuss their interest in the position and answer questions from community members.
