School-Year Staff, Maintenance Team Prepare Riverside Buildings for Classes

CLEVELAND, Ohio-School-Year Staff, Maintenance Team Prepare Riverside Buildings for ClassesThis summer, the Riverside School District’s maintenance efforts were bolstered by 25 teachers and school-year employees, a departure from previous years when only a few staff members would occasionally assist. The initiative, part of a strategic plan to boost morale and provide extra employment opportunities, was prompted by a staff survey. Teachers like Kristen McDevitt, a Riverside alumna, participated in various tasks such as painting, cleaning, and organizing, gaining new appreciation for the custodial staff’s work. The district’s custodial and summer staff undertook extensive projects, including moving classroom furniture, cleaning facilities, and maintaining grounds. Maintenance Director Rich Arlesic praised their efforts, highlighting their significant contributions to preparing the schools for the upcoming year.
