SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio-Secretary Marcia Fudge has withdrawn as the 2024 graduation speaker for Shaker Heights High School, following concerns raised by alumni about her invitation.
The district’s superintendent, Dr. David Glasner, approved Fudge’s withdrawal, although the reasons behind it were not provided. Alumni expressed concerns due to a letter Fudge wrote in 2015 supporting former Ohio State Senator Lance Mason, who later murdered his then-wife, Aisha Fraser.
