Students Put Learning into Action

VERSAILLES, Ohio-Versailles Ag Ed Mechanical Principles students delved into hydraulics and pneumatics, putting theory into practice by constructing can crushers or robots in the lab. Working individually or in pairs, they utilized scrap materials and hydraulic components to build their projects. Peer reviews and written reports detailed project functionalities and evaluations.

Winners included Eli Keiser, Landen Starkey, and Cole Brewer for the Can Crusher Hydraulic Project, and Eden Barga, Brooke Bergman, and Ruthie Smith for the Robot Hydraulic Project in the first period. In the fourth period, Cole Williams, Xavier Simons, and Colton Spradlin won the Can Crusher Hydraulic Project, while Cale DeMange and Patrick McGlinch were runners-up for the Robot Hydraulic Project. Cody Billenstein, Trent Huber, and Jace Bergman claimed victory for the Can Crusher Hydraulic Project in the seventh period.
