COLUMBUS, Ohio-A temporary restraining order preventing the implementation of a ban on gender-affirming care for minors in Ohio has been extended. The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas scheduled a hearing for the week of July 15, during which both sides will present arguments.
The ban, known as House Bill 68, prohibits gender-affirming surgeries, hormone therapies, and certain mental health care for transgender individuals under 18, as well as bans transgender girls and women from participating in girls’ and women’s sports teams.
