COLUMBUS, Ohio-Bryanna Barozzini, a 20-year-old woman, changed her plea to guilty for the fatal stabbing of teenager Halia Culbertson in March 2023. Originally set for trial, Barozzini admitted to involuntary manslaughter, and the state agreed to drop murder charges.
The decision followed the selection of a jury, with incriminating text messages cited as evidence. Barozzini and Culbertson had an ongoing feud, which led to a fatal altercation outside a store in Columbus. Barozzini, out on bond since her arrest, faces up to three years in prison plus parole, with sentencing scheduled for July 11. The judge warned of severe consequences for any future misconduct.
