COLUMBUS, Ohio-A 12-year-old girl was injured after a driver, Austin Rideout, struck the rear of a car that stopped for a school bus in Fayette County. The crash occurred on May 3, sending one vehicle into the girl who had just disembarked the bus. Rideout was cited for failing to maintain a clear distance and the girl was airlifted to a Columbus trauma center. Fortunately, she is now recovering at home. The Miami Trace Local School District confirmed their buses have cameras and will provide support for affected students and staff.
