Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed into law on Monday a two-year state budget that includes numerous changes to K-12 education across the state. There were multiple controversial proposals that DeWine vetoed, but others now set to become law. One of the vetoes included a provision many school treasurers and superintendents opposed that would have required schools to return money to taxpayers if they had more than 40% of their budget left over at the end of the year.
