Thursday night Toledo Public Schools held a special board of education meeting that was special in more ways than one.
After a brief word from Board President Bob Vasquez, the board stood up and traded places with a group of TPS student leaders. With name cards in tow, the five student leaders took their seats in front of a packed audience. The meeting was run by SMARTS, or Students Making Achievements Right This Second.
