MANSFIELD, Ohio-A tragic incident occurred on the first day of summer camp in Mansfield Township, where a 6-year-old boy drowned in a pool at Liberty Lakes Day Camp on Florence Columbus Road. The child was found unresponsive around 2 p.m. and was pulled from the pool by a lifeguard. Despite efforts to save him by camp staff, he was later pronounced dead at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly. An autopsy has been performed, and an investigation into the incident is underway by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Mansfield Township Police Department.
