DOYLESTOWN, Ohio-Zachary Yeager, the second son in the Yeager family, is gearing up to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Andrew. While this will be Zachary’s first time competing, he’s no stranger to the event, having accompanied Andrew last year.
The Yeager family has a history of spelling excellence, with Zachary’s father also participating in spelling bees during his youth. Zachary’s teachers praise his dedication and hard work, which includes up to two hours of nightly study. His goal is to outperform his brother and make it to the second day of the competition. The Scripps National Spelling Bee will be broadcast on ION TV, with the Semifinals on May 29 and the Finals on May 30.
