Green Schools Stuff the Bus for Blessings in a Backpack

GREEN, Ohio-Students in the Green Local Schools district contributed non-perishable food items for the Blessing in a Backpack program’s summer distribution. Over 5,000 items were collected, with additional contributions from parents. Bus 14, led by driver Stacy Kitchen, gathered the most donations, totaling 1,084 items. The donations were stored at the district’s transportation office before being loaded onto 10 school buses on May 13. The buses, escorted by Summit County Sheriff Deputies, delivered the items to Green Intermediate School’s Blessing in a Backpack pantry to be packed for families in need.
