TOLEDO, Ohio-A group called Justice for Lucas County Children of Sexual Assault held a protest in downtown Toledo to advocate for justice for child sexual assault victims. Led by Jeannie and Keith Phillips, who have personal reasons for their involvement, they demand closer scrutiny of such cases by the Lucas County Prosecutors Office. They highlight deficiencies in the criminal justice system’s protection of children and emphasize the need for community action to effect change. Despite the small turnout at the protest, they are determined to persist until their demands are met.
