MARION, Ohio-Marion City Councilman Ayers Ratliff is facing charges for allegedly raping a girl under 15 years old. Marion County Prosecutor Ray Grogan approved Ratliff’s arrest following a complaint filed in Marion County Municipal Court. The victim reported the incident to a school counselor, leading to police involvement.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation aided in gathering evidence, resulting in Ratliff’s arrest and charge of rape. Ratliff is currently held at the Multi-County Correctional Center, and Grogan’s office intends to seek a high bond at his arraignment.
