The Summit County Medical Examiner released the findings from the autopsy of Jazmir Tucker Wednesday morning.
Akron police fatally shot the 15-year-old around 11 p.m. on Nov. 28, 2024 in the area of East Avenue and Vernon Odom Boulevard.
Dr. Lisa Kohler said Tucker was shot a total of three times, twice in the torso and once in the right arm.
One of the bullets that hit his back pierced his heart and several other organs, according to the report.
The gunshot wounds to the torso caused the fatal injuries, said Dr. Kohler.
Dr. Kohler added the manner of death was ruled a homicide, and toxicology tests showed Tucker had marijuana in his system.
