Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music is set to host 190 middle school students for the second annual Middle School Honor Band concert.
Beginning January 10, the musicians all between 7th and 8th grade will begin rehearsals and instrument sectionals led by YSU faculty and guest directors.
These sessions are intended to hone the skills the musicians have and prepare them for the concert experience.
The rehearsals all lead up to the musicians performing two concerts on January 11.
