Friday was the deadline given school districts and universities across Ohio and the United States to comply with a February 14th, “dear Colleague” letter from the U.S. Department of Education insisting they end their DEI policies and programs or face the loss of federal funding. As of Friday, several area school districts, including Cleveland, Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights, and others, however, vow to continue their efforts toward inclusion and equity.
