PAINESVILL , Ohio-An off-duty Cleveland police officer, Alexander Sinclair, was arrested after a shot was fired outside Riverview Elementary School on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m., prompting a lockdown that lasted about an hour. The situation began as a domestic dispute off-campus and escalated to the school’s parking lot when Sinclair’s vehicle collided with another. Lake County Sheriff deputies responded, and a school resource officer confronted Sinclair, leading to a physical altercation before he was taken into custody. The bullet was fired into the windshield of another vehicle, but no shots were directed at the school itself. Fortunately, there were no injuries among students or staff, though a few individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
