CLEVELAND, Ohio-Beat the Streets Cleveland is a nonprofit in Slavic Village that combines wrestling with mentoring and youth development, positively impacting children’s lives both on the mat and in the classroom. Executive Director Demetrius Williams highlights the program’s focus on engaging kids in wrestling while introducing them to financial literacy, health, and mental wellness resources. Parents like Anthonyque Bailey and Ina Imami have observed significant growth in their children, noting improvements in discipline, confidence, and social skills. To support their mission, Beat the Streets Cleveland is holding a fundraiser on October 5 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium, with proceeds going towards program sustainability, facility maintenance, and providing necessary gear for the kids.
