A vehicle struck a woman and her 2-year-old child, who was sitting in a shopping cart, in the parking lot of a grocery store, causing serious injuries to the young boy, police say. Investigators are still searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, which occurred just after 7 p.m. outside a Marc’s store on the 7500 block of West Ridgewood Drive, according to a news release from the police department.
