COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced that 42 law enforcement agencies across 36 Ohio counties will receive a total of $3 million for their drug task forces. These grants from the 2024 Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund aim to empower local drug task force commanders to combat drug trafficking effectively.
The funds can be used for intelligence gathering, information sharing, and multi-agency coordination to disrupt drug supply chains. Additionally, the funds support efforts to assist overdose victims and their families through education, support, and treatment options. Administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Services, this initiative is part of the Drug Interdiction, Disruption, and Reduction Plan.
