Columbus City school board will decide whether to close four additional schools and make changes to transportation for students in its “lottery” system that lets students enroll in different schools as the district aims to manage a $50-million budget deficit. At a joint meeting with the CCS board and committees held Oct. 16, members and administrators approved recommendations to continue the realignment process by closing more four school buildings and adjusting the district’s transportation for lottery system system students to save costs related to transportation.
