14 Ohio Schools Named National Blue Ribbon Schools by Dept. of Education

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The U.S. Department of Education has named 356 schools as 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools, including 14 from Ohio. This recognition honors schools for outstanding academic performance or significant progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups. Each awarded school will display a National Blue Ribbon School flag.

In Ohio, the honored schools include:

– Reagan Elementary School, Ashland
– Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, Broadview Heights
– Chagrin Falls Middle School, Chagrin Falls
– Columbiana South Side Middle School, Columbiana
– Columbus Grove Elementary School, Columbus Grove
– Norwayne Elementary School, Creston
– Fort Loramie Junior-Senior High School, Fort Loramie
– Morgan Elementary School, Hamilton
– Chieftain Elementary School, Logan
– Tuslaw Middle School, Massillon
– Leona Ave Middle School, Shadyside
– Harding Middle School, Steubenville
– Whittier Elementary School, Westerville
– School of Innovation, Willoughby Hills

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona praised these schools for their exceptional achievements and their role as models of effective teaching and collaboration.
