Akron Man Arrested After Fleeing Police With Child in Car: Police

AKRON, Ohio-An Akron man, Antwan Singletary, is facing charges after allegedly fleeing police with his 4-month-old child following a domestic dispute in Stow. Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped him near the Arlington Road exit after a brief chase on I-77.

Singletary refused to comply with officers’ orders initially, but eventually surrendered the child after a Black deputy arrived on the scene. The child was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital, while Singletary was arrested on charges including felony domestic violence, interference with custody, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and child endangerment.
