BG has Been Generous – but Needs Persist For Many Students

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Residents and businesses in Bowling Green City Schools district have generously donated food, clothing, and hygiene supplies to help students in need. Despite the community’s support, ongoing needs persist, as highlighted by school board member Ginny Stewart.

Superintendent Francis Scruci expressed gratitude for the community’s response, citing it as typical of Bowling Green’s spirit. Donations totaling $6,435, including clothing, food, and toiletries, were announced during a recent board meeting. Stewart outlined ongoing needs such as individually wrapped breakfast and snack foods, water bottles, and winter clothing for students across all school levels. Additionally, the Dear Santa Society, a local organization, continues to support families in the district by providing toys, clothing, hygiene items, and food, as reported by teacher Kisha Nichols.
