Clark County Schools Learn How to Reunite Parents and Kids After a Crisis

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-Clark County school districts have conducted crisis response training for staff, focusing on procedures for reuniting students with their parents during emergencies. The training, facilitated by the Clark County Emergency Management Agency and the “I Love You Guys” Foundation, took place over two days at Springfield High School.

The goal is to standardize procedures across the county, ensuring consistency in response protocols even across different school layouts. Michelle Clement-Pitstick, director of Clark County EMA, emphasized the importance of creating a county-wide reunification team to enhance efficiency in future emergency situations.
