AKRON, Ohio-An Ohio man, DeMarcus Jones, was arrested after leaving his 2-month-old daughter unattended in a parked car while he donated plasma at CSL Plasma in Akron. Staff at the facility alerted the Summit County Sheriff’s Office around noon when they found the infant inside the unlocked vehicle. Jones was apprehended at the plasma center, and deputies discovered the car’s interior temperature likely exceeded 100 degrees, despite an outside temperature of 82 degrees. Emergency medical personnel evaluated the baby, who was subsequently taken into the care of Summit County Children’s Services.
