April 13th, 2024-COLUMBUS, Ohio-Joel Cutler, a former gym teacher at Upper Arlington elementary school, was sentenced to three months in jail and five years of probation for a charge of felony child endangerment.
Originally indicted on multiple counts including rape and sexual battery, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge as part of a plea agreement. The incidents involving a student occurred between 2000 and 2003 but were reported to authorities in 2021. Despite the seriousness of the charges, Cutler is not required to register as a sex offender.
