FERMONT, Ohio-Fremont Schools recently announced two new administrative hires ahead of the 2024-25 school year. James Boss was appointed as the new student services director, joining from Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools where he served as director of student services and a school psychologist.
His appointment coincides with Abby Abernathy’s move to assistant superintendent. Ryan Norris was appointed as the new principal of Ross High School, bringing 11 years of experience from Clyde High School where he was assistant principal. Norris replaces Christine Orvets, who retired after serving as Ross’s principal for two years and holding various leadership roles within the district.
