A jury has been seated in the trial of the mother of a 7-year-old boy who died after he was shot in Youngstown. The jury was seated on Tuesday in the trial of 31-year-old Marquaysha Driver, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter, as well as four counts of endangering children. The charges stem from the shooting death of Devonte Housely Jr. in Driver’s home back in October of 2023. Police originally described the shooting as accidental, but an indictment later alleged that Driver was responsible for Housely’s death.
