AMHERST, Ohio-Mary Kelch, a parent from an Ohio community, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign in support of a group of former teachers who resigned from their positions at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Amherst. The educators left due to concerns about transparency regarding preschool funds from the church council.
Kelch highlighted the teachers’ dedication and the impact they had on her family as reasons for starting the fundraiser. She expressed hope that the fundraiser would help compensate for the teachers’ lost end-of-year bonuses and emphasized their courage in standing up for what is right.
