New study finds not all screen time is equal

A new study from The Ohio State University suggests that the type of media children consume may matter more than how much they consume when it comes to learning. Researchers at Ohio State’s Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy found that about 12% of the media used by first graders was educational and that those who used more educational content spent more time reading and less time on screens overall.
