LOVELAND, Ohio-Timothy Longar was arrested for posting threatening messages on social media directed at St. Columban School in Loveland. The messages, deemed disturbing and violent, caused alarm within the school community, prompting closure on May 7. A protection order was already in place against Longar, prohibiting him from posting about certain individuals on social media.
Parents reported the threats, leading to Longar’s arrest on charges including inducing panic and violating the protective order. He’s currently held on a $2 million bond with restrictions on weapons, contact with school affiliates, and internet access. Longar’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 22.
